Primary Responsibilities Repairs with little guidance on all product types. Completes all entry‑level repair types with additional skill requirements. Performs minor repairs on the surface of case pieces and tables. Performs solid color paper/side refinishes. Rebuilds small corner damages that require re‑construction. Uses and maintains spray booth set‑up. Performs advanced replacement part repairs. Communicates maintenance needs for tools, parts and hardware while keeping the repair area and shop clean. Inspects damaged products and determines repair feasibility. Works with warehouse personnel on minor touch‑up techniques during inspection. Documents and tracks recurring product damages. Assists other technicians. Accurately reports situations when repairs cannot be completed. Assesses damages to determine the most efficient repair approach. Identifies damage, loss, or surplus of goods and materials in the warehouse. Demonstrates the company’s core and growth values in all job functions. Complies with safety regulations and maintains a clean, orderly work area. Uses safety equipment for all products in the department. Maintains a clean and organized service vehicle, ensuring repair materials and supplies are stocked. Adheres to driving policy for company vehicles, meeting annual MVR review requirements. Follows planned routes to ensure on‑time arrival for customer repairs. Operates hand and power tools safely, including drills, impact drivers, and multi‑tools. Completes bench testing evaluations for regular validation of skills. Qualifications High School Diploma. 1‑year practical work experience in furniture repair, including upholstery, leather repairs, and wood refinishing OR similar experience with other materials and color matching. Reading, understanding and writing in English; additional languages are beneficial. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to learn in‑house computer programs. Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record per company guidelines. Physical Requirements Good vision, including color vision and depth perception. Normal hearing and speech comprehension. Ability to remain seated for extended periods. Ability to perform repetitive tasks with both hands, including keyboarding and handheld equipment operation. Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch and reach above shoulder level. Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds with assistance. Work predominantly in a private home or retail establishment; occasional work at warehouse locations. Potential exposure to oil, latex, spray paint, household chemicals, biological odors and house dust; moderate office noise. Travel Required Yes. The job requires traveling to and from customers’ homes.
