A Shift Shipping Lead

Supervisory Responsibilities Position titles directly reporting to this position: Warehouse Associates assigned to the working area. Organizational Relationships Develop and maintain productive, effective, and professional relationships with peers, superiors, and others. Represent the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times. Principal Accountabilities & Functions Lead and assign job responsibilities to all department personnel as directed by the department supervisor. Ensure all team members arrive on time, take scheduled breaks or lunches as required, and stay within scheduled time frames. Maintain productivity tasks and keep a steady workflow within the department and dependent fulfillment departments. Identify associates who perform below set goals and retrain if necessary. Train team members on proper procedures as directed by the department supervisor. Verify all processes are performed accurately and ensure completeness of the job. Communicate with leadership/management regarding any issues and assist department trainers. Multi-task and ensure associates have the equipment and tools needed to perform duties successfully. Delegate tasks and functions to associates. Perform regular department safety walkthroughs and follow safety protocols and policies. Communicate regular headcounts of the shift to report any changes. Report safety concerns and incidents to designated parties. Required Qualifications 1 to 2 years’ experience with facility maintenance in a medium to large distribution center or manufacturing operation. Required Competencies Proficient understanding of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Read, write, and speak English. Patience and ability to train/teach associates. Ability to learn to operate RF scanner and other necessary job tools. Ability to operate equipment and lift up to 50 lbs. Problem‑solving skills. Understand all functions through training. Follow safety procedures. Highly motivated, a team‑player, and self‑starter. Willingness to cross‑train outside of immediate department. Demonstrate high levels of dependability. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Knowledge of OSHA compliance (plus). Conversational Spanish (plus). Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Experience using Microsoft Outlook and Word programs. Multi‑task in a fast‑paced work environment that has a strong customer focus. Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with co‑workers and managers cooperatively. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $24.13 - $27.16 per hour. The range reflects the estimated minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in the US – Indiana Midwest Distribution Center. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
