About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Tele Duration: 13 to 26 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in specialty License: Registered Nurse Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, arrhythmia certification Must-Have: Experience with post-surgical cardiovascular patients Experience with cardiac drips and insulin drips 1 year of EPIC experience Description: This position offers a shift of either 3x12 or 4x12 nights from 19:00 to 07:30. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend but may change based on need. Floating is required if necessary. The medication system utilized is Omnicell. Patient diagnoses include CAD status post CABG, cardiac valve repair, lung cancer status post VATS, and esophageal cancer. Candidates must possess experience in managing cardiac drips and insulin drips. Special procedures include passing the EKG exam pre-start. Charting experience with EPIC is preferred. Staffing ratios are 4 patients per nurse on nights and weekends. There is interdisciplinary support available from various teams including IV teams, physical therapy, and pharmacy. Candidates are expected to have the ability to manage multiple cardiac-related procedures and protocols. Outgoing and proactive teamwork is essential. This role requires valid certifications and a strong background in cardiac telemetry nursing.
