About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Active, unrestricted RN License or valid, participating compact license required. Can submit with pending. Certifications: Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Must-Have: - ICU and Medical-Surgical/Tele experience preferred. - Flexibility to float to other units as needed. - Strong communication and teamwork skills. Description: The ICU Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to critically ill patients. The position requires the ability to float to Medical-Surgical/Tele units as needed. Ratios in the ICU are 1:1 or 1:2, and on the Medical-Surgical/Tele units, the ratios are 1:4 or 1:5. Weekend shifts are required, specifically every other weekend. The ideal candidate must be comfortable with managing critical care patients. Experience with standard medical-surgical and telemetry equipment is essential. The traveler will work within a flex pool and must be adaptable to unit needs. Candidates must possess skills in arterial line management, ventilator care, central line care, and management of dysrhythmias. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy among others. Travelers will be required to work with a diverse patient population including adults and geriatrics. Candidates must be willing to adhere to quality and patient safety standards. Overall, the position requires a well-rounded nurse who can work collaboratively within a dynamic healthcare environment.
