Position Supervisor, Adult Day Services Location Gardena Hours Full-time - Monday-Friday - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Hourly Starting Pay Rate $26.00 per hour Additional Information Must have reliable transportation and a clean driving record. Overview of Position Monitors the day-to-day operation of assigned services; supervises, evaluates, and trains associates within scope of authority; assists with planning of all aspects of service to achieve desired outcomes and ensures compliance with person-centered service design and all applicable internal and external oversight. Essential Functions Supervise coordination of service delivery for individuals, including intake, assessments, service assignment, and effective service delivery; facilitate or conduct associated meetings. Oversee and coordinate data collection, organization, and storage of documentation related to individuals who use the services; handling electronic health records where required. Promote, model, and ensure adherence with person-centered standards and service culture; ensure person-centered planning and inclusion of opportunities and diverse experiences reflective of individuals' interests and preferences. Understand and reinforce concepts of the ESSC PCCP manual; ensure compliance with quality assurance and safety standards, including licensing agencies, service design, accreditations, and regulatory requirements. Provide input to the development and improvement of policies and procedures. Evaluate training needs and conduct thorough observations of all associates; provide constructive feedback for their growth and success. Ensure proper completion of all required personnel documentation. Maintain positive working relationships with associates, individuals who use the services, their support team, referral agencies, community contacts, and others important to them. Substitute for direct service associates as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Education Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field preferred. Experience 4 years of work experience in a related field preferred, including some supervisory experience; or a combination of experience, education, and training sufficient to perform the job successfully. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Effective communication skills, oral and written, with all levels of personnel and the general public. Ability to foster teamwork, monitor effectively, motivate, train, and mentor staff. Knowledge of person-centered programming and activities that create purposeful and meaningful experiences. Good judgment, decision-making skills, discretion and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters. Ability to develop associates and provide progressive discipline when necessary. Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations. Active listening, patience, and empathy in communicating with individuals, families, and caregivers. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and electronic health record systems. Ability to assist with personal care, including transferring individuals with no weight-bearing skills. Conflict resolution and ability to remain calm in stressful environments. Maintain a positive morale, quality, creativity, and teamwork environment. Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and perform required movements. Travel locally to participate in activities related to the service and comply with legal clearance requirements. Maintain criminal record/fingerprint clearance and pass drug testing; obtain and maintain valid California driver’s license, clean driving record, auto insurance, and vehicle registration. Physical Requirements (ADA) Carrying/Lifting: up to 50 lbs. Standing: occasional, up to 3 hours per day. Sitting: constant, up to 8 hours per day. Walking: occasional, up to 3 hours per day. Travel: frequent. Repetitive motion: keyboard activity, telephone use, writing. Visual acuity: ability to view computer monitor and read printed material.
