Maternal Fetal Medicine Nurse Practitioner

This role involves providing clinical assessment, examination, and treatment for pregnant women with fetal disorders. Key responsibilities include taking patient histories, performing assessments, conducting diagnostic tests, documenting progress, and implementing fetal surgery plans. Additional duties encompass ordering and interpreting labs, discharge planning, patient education, and participating in quality assurance, research, and multidisciplinary conferences. Willingness to acquire limited ultrasound skills is required. The role also involves educating medical students, residents, and fellows, and ensuring seamless care coordination. Qualifications include an unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas, a master’s or doctoral degree in Nursing, national certification, DEA license, and strong communication and organizational skills. Preferred experience in women’s health, OB/GYN, or family medicine is advantageous. Skills involve working in a complex clinical environment, effective collaboration, and proficiency with electronic medical records. Work environment includes outpatient and hospital settings, with physical activities such as standing, walking, and manual dexterity.
