Circa 1886 is currently searching for a Lead Saute. We are a fine dining restaurant and having a background in this environment is important to this position. Creativity is encouraged!! The ideal candidate must keep a level head, be able to accept constructive criticism, love cooking and take great pride in his or her ingredients/station.Circa 1886 is closed on Sundays as well as Christmas Day, Thanksgiving, New Year's Day, Easter, Mothers Day, and Fathers Day.The right candidate will have a love of cooking, in-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices, grilling and cooking methods, prior Saute experience, and be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team environment.Prior experience in a fine dining restaurant is required and a certificate and/or degree in Culinary Arts is a plus.Benefits include a great work/life balance, competitive wages (commensurate with experience), employee meals, free parking, insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision and disability after 60 days, holiday pay after 90 days, 2 weeks paid vacation after 1 year.Job Duties include:Ensuring prep station is properly set up and stockedMaintaining a clean workstation for food prep and storage area that meets or exceeds health and safety standardsPreparing ingredients, cooking, and assembling dishes to an exact standardPerforming additional tasks as assigned by the chef or sous-chefWe offer competitive wages, employee meal, hotel discounts, medical, dental and vision insurance after 60 days and 2 weeks paid vacation after your first year of employment.
