Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant - Dallas-Fort Worth Area

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume emergency department with 30,000+ annual visits
• Assess, diagnose, and treat acute injuries and illnesses in a fast-paced ER environment
• Perform emergency procedures including wound repair, splinting, and other urgent care interventions
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory work and imaging studies
• Collaborate with emergency physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR system
• Participate in trauma response as part of a designated Trauma Center
• Provide patient education and discharge planning for emergency department patients

Required Qualifications

• Current Texas Nurse Practitioner license or Texas Physician Assistant license (or ability to obtain)
• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Medicine experience in a hospital emergency department setting
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Experience working in high-volume emergency departments preferred
• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records system preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making skills and ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborative emergency care
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency medicine environment

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly rate: $95/hour
• Annual compensation range: $170,000 - $190,000
• 1099 contractor position offering flexibility and autonomy
