What Value This Role Will Bring 

As a CNC Machinist, you will play a critical role in producing precision-machined components that meet stringent quality and customer requirements. You will assist with machine setup, operate multi-axis CNC equipment, inspect finished parts, and help ensure efficient production while maintaining Bell-Memphis' commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setting up and operating CNC turning centers, machining centers, and Swiss-turn machines.
• Review setup sheets, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements and production sequences.
• Load tooling, install workholding devices, set machine offsets, and load CNC programs as required.
• Monitor machine operations, make tooling changes, and identify potential equipment or process issues.
• Inspect finished components using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, dial indicators, and gauges.
• Follow engineered routings, complete labor transactions, and adhere to all safety and 5S requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience operating CNC machining equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, setup sheets, and inspection requirements.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment to verify part conformance.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and basic computer/data entry skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in aerospace, precision manufacturing, or highly regulated manufacturing environments

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: $22.00-40.00

Position Details

• Memphis, TN; On-site attendance required
• Monday through Friday
• 1st shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm 
• 2nd shift:  2:30 pm – 11:00 pm 
• PPE required (safety glasses and hearing protection in designated areas)
