Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a TN or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ICU experience.

Details

• 10-bed general Intensive Care Unit in a Level III trauma facility
• Adult patient population 18 and older with rare pediatric post-operative cases
• Common diagnoses include COPD exacerbation, DKA, atrial fibrillation, pre/post cardiac catheterization, and septic shock
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Equipment used includes Baxter pumps, GE bedside monitors, and Arjo beds
• Charting completed in Meditech EHR
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Rotating weekend coverage on an every-other-weekend basis
• Call requirements and floating are census dependent
• Block scheduling can be accommodated

Requirements

• Active TN or compact RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
• Experience with advanced hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator management, vasoactive drips, and cardiac support required

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to adult ICU patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions
• Work alongside a supportive, team-oriented ICU staff under the direction of the Clinical Manager
• Weekly orientation held on Mondays
• Candidates must reside 60 miles or greater from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
• Scrubs of any color are acceptable; street clothes and apparel bearing another hospital's name are not permitted
• Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months
• Cannot be employed elsewhere on a full-time basis while on assignment
