Oakwood Legal Group, LLP is a well-established and fast-growing law firm based in Los Angeles. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Employment Law Paralegal to join our legal team full-time.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in employment litigation, specifically involving wage and hour disputes, discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and retaliation claims. If you're organized, client-focused, and ready to contribute to a supportive and high-performing team, we'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and respond to written discovery in employment law matters
- Propound discovery and track deadlines
- Draft deposition notices and assist with calendaring
- Coordinate with clients to complete discovery responses
- File documents with the court (e-filing and in person)
- Assist attorneys with trial prep
- Research employment statutes, regulations, and administrative procedures
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Experience with legal case management software (e.g., Filevine, Smart Advocate, etc.)
- Prior experience as a litigation paralegal preferred
- Familiarity with employment law and related administrative processes
