Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time X Ray Operator in West Palm Beach, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener supporting a government location, you will help maintain a welcoming, orderly environment by screening visitors and belongings, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with the public and site personnel, and help deter incidents through a visible, professional presence. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon09:00 AM - 06:00 PMTue09:00 AM - 06:00 PMWed09:00 AM - 06:00 PMThur09:00 AM - 06:00 PMFri09:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a government location. Screen individuals and belongings using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited or unauthorized items and follow escalation protocols. Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry; maintain orderly processing at designated access points and direct visitors as appropriate. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity, identify security-related concerns, and report findings. Minimum Requirements: Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree. Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred. A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Guard card is required. X-ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
