We have earned the Outstanding Employer Support award from the US Navy and we are a GSA approved vendor.Applied has been fortunate to retain associates who have built long lasting careers. 25% of our U.S. team has 20+ years of service!In addition to competitive pay and all the benefits you'd expect from an industry leader (401K with company match, insurance, company vehicle, time off, employee assistance, tuition reimbursement, etc.) you will also enjoy:A lasting career – Career paths are available in sales, management, and operations throughout the countryProfessional development and trainingTeam oriented company culture where it's called work for a reason but have fun in the processJoin a local team with company backingEssential Functions & Responsibilities:Perform field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe manner:Calibrate pressure, temperature, flow and various other instrumentationCommission instrumentation and shoot loopsInstall and calibrate measuring and positioning devicesPerform minor electrical maintenanceComplete all applicable documentation for actions taken.Report job activity as well as maintain detailed logs about service calls, parts, and ordersRepresent company during field service tasks providing a "can do" attitudeIdentify and report safety issues to proper customer representativeIdentify opportunities for upgrades at the customer facilityResearch task criteria prior to arriving on work siteUse company vehicle to travel to and from job sites while maintaining defensive driving habits that reflect upon the sterling reputation of the company.Essential Physical Functions/Equipment Used:Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 75lbsMust be able to stand, kneel, and walk for long periods of timeMust be able to climb ladders and stairs in an industrial environmentMust be able to work at heights utilizing fall protectionMust be available for occasional call-insAvailable for overnight travel to various locations & customer sites to provide service and training based on business needsDuties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather, elements, heavy equipment, power tools, clean room, animal/insect bites, dirt and noisePreferred Education/Experience:High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates Degree/Technical Degree preferred2+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing Process/Control equipment including instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps, etcStrong computer proficiency required, namely the ability to operate a variety of electronic and microcomputer instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, and level.Strong mechanical proficiency required, namely the ability to operate a variety of hand tools, power toolsElectrical/electrician experienceTubing, tray, and instrument stand installation experienceIndustrial safety trainingPLC Programming and troubleshootingProgramming and troubleshooting drivesWork environment: Varied environment: customer facilities will include indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to all potential weather elements, clean rooms, factories, construction areas, and othersIf you like wild growth and working with happy, enthusiastic over-achievers, you'll enjoy your career with us!
