Construction Project Manager

The Construction Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering mechanical/plumbing construction projects from award through completion. This role manages project schedules, budgets, manpower, procurement, quality, and safety while ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to company and client standards.

Key responsibilities include managing all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, directing and supporting Project Engineers, General Superintendents, and Foremen, conducting project handoff meetings and assigning project resources, developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and forecasts, visiting job sites weekly to monitor progress, quality, safety, and project performance, coordinating with clients, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams, procuring materials and equipment while managing costs and maintaining project budgets, reviewing purchase orders, fabrication drawings, contracts, specifications, and change orders, ensuring all change orders are properly approved before work begins, monitoring project financials, approving invoices, and providing weekly status updates to management, maintaining quality control standards and ensuring compliance with company policies, building codes, and OSHA safety requirements, attending weekly project management meetings and monthly billing meetings, and performing other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of Project Management or Project Engineer experience in the mechanical/plumbing construction industry. Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience. Commercial and/or industrial construction experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Ability to read blueprints and specifications. Strong understanding of project financials and budgeting. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Bluebeam. Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.

Certifications: OSHA Safety Training preferred. Valid driver's license required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements: This position operates in both office and field environments and requires regular travel to job sites. Must be able to sit, stand, walk active construction sites, and occasionally lift or move materials as needed.

Salary Range: $90,000 - $125,000. Pay to be commensurate with experience.
