Medication Technician - ALF (Assisted Living Facility)

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders and facility policies

- Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and report any concerns to healthcare professionals

- Maintain accurate medication records and documentation in compliance with regulatory standards

- Assist residents with medication reminders and ensure timely medication administration

- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to coordinate resident care plans

- Ensure proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications

- Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Valid certification as a Medication Technician or similar credential

- Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing home, or healthcare setting preferred

- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety standards

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Compassionate and respectful attitude towards residents

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

- Ability to follow instructions accurately and maintain confidentiality

Salary Description


$17.50/hour to $20.00/hour
