Job Description:


- Unit Name: 3rd, Neuro Med/Surg
- Location: Nashville, TN
- Number of Beds: 20
- Patient Ratios: 6:1
- Unit Staffing Description:
- Tech support available on day and night shifts
- Unit secretary from 7 AM to 7 PM


- Equipped with Advanced Technology:
- IV Pumps
- Telemetry
- SCDs
- Continuous Pulse Ox Machines
- Feeding Pumps
- PCA
- EKG machines
- Bladder scanner
- iMobile communication technology


- Documentation System: Meditech


- Scheduling Requirements:
- Commit to 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
- Work 2 weekends (4 shifts) per 4-week schedule


- Floating Policy:
- Contract labor is first to float
- Rotation for multiple contract labor staff


- Patient Experience Requirements:
- Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
- Conduct bedside shift reports
- Foster personal connections with patients, involving them and their families in care planning


- Hospital Specifics:
- Comprehensive Stroke Certification
- ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center
- Certified Chest Pain Center

- Basic wound care, maintenance of surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
