About the Role:
Join J G BOYD LAW LLC as a Contractual/Part-Time Experienced Family Law Attorney in Decatur, GA. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in family law while working in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal counsel and representation in family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support cases.
- Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.
- Conduct legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain legal processes and options.
- Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court hearings.
- Stay updated on changes in family law and legal precedents.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to ensure comprehensive client service.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal standards.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Georgia.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in family law.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
