As Senior Manager, Value Engineering, you’ll lead high‑impact design and manufacturing initiatives that unlock customer value, enhance producibility and quality, and drive cost out—without compromise. Roles and Responsibilities Lead and coach high‑energy VE events from end to end, facilitating the full 8‑phase VE methodology and delivering measurable outcomes. Build and scale the VE system; in partnership with Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, and Product Operations, create, standardize, and deploy tools, methods, and playbooks that make value engineering a durable capability across programs and sites. Tie VE directly to launch success by connecting high‑value concepts to APQP execution so the highest‑impact changes land in production—prioritizing Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Be the connective tissue by developing trusted relationships with Product Engineering, Product Leadership, Sales, and Supply Chain to align value, feasibility, and speed. Mentor teams in functional thinking, VE methods, and lean fundamentals, role‑modeling daily management and continuous improvement. Operate on a proven lean backbone, driving projects leveraging FLIGHT DECK fundamentals to streamline flow and eliminate waste and accelerate value realization. Success Metrics Robust pipeline of value‑driven design changes. Clear, repeatable VE standards and tools adopted across teams. VE ideas integrated into APQP with visible SQDC results. Engaged, capable teams that can run VE independently. Tangible quality, lead‑time, and cost improvements. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university. Minimum of 5 years of design engineering, product planning, or manufacturing experience. Certified Value Specialist (CVS) certification by SAVE International. Desired Characteristics 10+ years’ experience in design engineering, product planning, or manufacturing and aerospace experience. Familiarity with lean operating systems and driving results across Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Experience in engineering‑driven, long‑cycle development and manufacturing environments. Proven influencer and team player with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Humble, transparent, focused, Leadership ability, and strong problem‑solving skills. Compensation Base pay range: $167,000 – $222,000 (Evendale, OH) and $192,000 – $255,300 (Lynn, MA). Position also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary.
