Position purpose

The purpose of this position is to operate and manage care to patients undergoing phototherapy treatments and patch testing treatments.

Role and Responsibilities

• Creates and updates medical records within the EMR system.
• Performs maintenance and routine care of phototherapy machine and computer software.
• Schedules and reschedules phototherapy appointments.
• Operates phototherapy machine and documents treatment details.
• Maintains and cleans phototherapy room.
• Assists patients with preparation of treatment, including application of sunscreen and light activating reagent.
• Creates, applies and removes patches to assist in determining specific causes of allergic contact dermatitis. Submits this documentation to patient's provider for review.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Official High School Transcripts, Diploma or Equivalency Certificate.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Friendly, polite and professional.
• Clear communication skills.
• Proficient with an EMR system (Electronic Medical Records) ideally Nextech.

Additional Notes

• This is a full-time position. 3-12 hour shifts Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of every week.
