Accounting & Reconciliation Analyst

The purpose of this position is to perform daily accounting activities relating to the Investment Book of Record to enable accurate client reporting and tracking of investment performance for a set of institutional and other types of portfolios. This role will be responsible for performing centralized tasks and controls, daily and periodic processes to identify issues, understand the impact, determine the root cause, and execute solutions in a timely manner. The role will also require collaboration with global counterparts to report daily results to the team. Key Responsibilities Perform daily/monthly quality control (QC) reviews, managing portfolio valuation workflow, day‑to‑day operational accounting activities, and problem resolution. Ensure accounts are signed off by upstream teams and published as per defined SLAs. Reconcile IBOR (Investment Book of Record) data with ABOR (Accounting Book of Record) custodian/administrator data on specified accounts; oversee term‑loan accrual and payments in Aladdin system. Maintain and oversee tax withholding tables in Aladdin system. Assist and provide timely responses to issues/inquiries from internal functional teams and/or external clients, including auditors, front office, client reporting, middle office, and third‑party administrators. Maintain retention of records, work, and other information following established procedures and policies. Develop and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders. Cross‑train with team members on account deliverables and provide back‑up as needed. Required Qualifications Master's degree or equivalent in Finance/Accounting, MBA preferred. Knowledge or experience in investment accounting/fund accounting. Strong system skills, including MS Office and main‑frame systems. Good communication, interpersonal skills, and effective teamwork. Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills. Sound written and oral communication skills. Positive, collaborative attitude. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Knowledge of investment tools/systems such as Aladdin, Bloomberg, and custodian sites is an added advantage. In‑Office Collaboration Work in‑office at least three days per week, with flexibility to work from home two days per week. Some roles may require additional in‑office time or different expectations, which will be discussed during the hiring process.
