East Haddam Public Schools is seeking a dedicated, collaborative School Psychologist to join the team at Nathan Hale-Ray High School (NHRHS). NHRHS is a close-knit, supportive learning community of approximately 250 students. Our smaller student body allows us to foster meaningful, strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Position Overview: The School Psychologist plays a pivotal role in supporting our high school students by delivering comprehensive psychological services, supporting mental health initiatives, conducting evaluations, and participating actively in multidisciplinary teams.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Certification: State of Connecticut Certification as a School Psychologist (070) or eligibility for endorsement.
- Education: Master's degree or 6th-Year degree/Specialist Degree in School Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Skills:
- Demonstrated expertise in comprehensive psychoeducational assessment tools and methodologies.
- Strong skills in counseling techniques tailored to high school students.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to build collaborative relationships with staff and families.
- Knowledge of CT Special Education regulations, Section 504 guidelines, and IEP software platforms.
