Senior Precision Machinist

At Fathom, you won't spend your day running the same simple jobs. You'll work on complex, precision-machined components for demanding industries where quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship matter.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Precision Machinist who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and improve CNC machining processes while serving as a technical resource for the team.

What You'll Do

• Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes
• Machine complex parts to tight tolerances
• Read blueprints, GD&T, and engineering drawings
• Troubleshoot machining and quality issues
• Optimize tooling, setups, and cycle times
• Support process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives
• Mentor less experienced machinists

What You Bring

• 7+ years of CNC machining experience
• Advanced setup and troubleshooting skills
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
• Experience with precision measuring equipment
• Ability to independently run complex jobs with minimal supervision
• Pride in producing quality work the first time
