Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP/ACNP) for an inpatient Hospitalist locum opportunity in Texas. This is a weekday-only assignment with no call, a low daily census, and physician backup available.

Monday Friday
7:00 AM 3:00 PM
8-hour shifts

Practice Setting

Inpatient Hospitalist service
Micro-hospital environment
Cerner EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

Daily inpatient rounding
Medical management of hospitalized patients
Collaborate with supervising physician as needed
Coordinate patient care and discharge planning

Patient Population

Average daily census: 6 patients

Common Diagnoses

Seizure disorders
Respiratory conditions
Gastrointestinal conditions
General adult inpatient medicine

Support Structure

Physician on-call backup available
Collaborative inpatient care model

Requirements

AGACNP or ACNP certification required
Inpatient Hospitalist experience required
Active Texas NP license
Active Texas DEA

Additional Requirements

Current immunization documentation
Case logs from the past two years
CME documentation
Standard credentialing documentation
