This is professional work assisting in program administration and evaluation within the office of the Trial Court Administrator. Primary duties will involve budget, procurement, and grant management tasks. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Court Operations Manager.

Examples of Duties

Individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including working in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods, or otherwise to balance the workload.

• Responsible for maintaining supplies and delivery of said supplies to court personnel.
• Responsible for maintaining databases, serving the court by collecting and reporting on case/program data, financial data, interacting with other Courts System personnel, judges, and the community to facilitate effective operations and performing related clerical functions.
• Assists the Court Operations Manager on a variety of projects, studies, and reports for monitoring, evaluating, and improving program operations and services.
• May serve as support staff to various judicial committees or task forces to assist in the analysis of current laws and regulations and to analyze the effects on the program of changes to laws and regulations.
• Responsible for entering, monitoring, and keeping track of check requisitions and purchase orders through various court and county software programs.
• Responsible for completing and submitting required grant reports as well as making requests for reimbursement. This will include utilizing grant management software such as ERA Commons, Grants.gov, and Amplifund.
• Appearance in Court may be required.
• Regular attendance, professional appearance and punctuality required. Occasional flexible hours may be needed to accommodate court functions.

Typical Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in public or judicial administration, business, legal assisting, education, social work, or a related social science.
• Two (2) years of experience in program administration or program evaluation.
• Experience in program administration, evaluation, county purchasing, or grant writing/management, may substitute for the recommended college education on a year for year basis.

Licenses, Certifications or Registrations

• Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License or must obtain within 30 days of establishing residency in Florida and be insurable by current insurance carrier, or valid Florida Identification Card is acceptable only for positions not required to drive a county vehicle.

Required Competencies

• Knowledge of the methods and techniques of program planning, administration and evaluation.
• Ability to conduct research and compose technical reports.
• Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and logically.
• Ability to conduct basic financial and bookkeeping functions.
• Ability to operate a personal computer and ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Ability to make sound independent judgments.
• Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with fellow employees, other agencies and the public.
• Ability to make effective presentations.
• Skill in using a personal computer. Knowledge of county purchasing and grant management programs a plus, i.e Tyler Munis, OnBase, Adminsys, GMS.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Requires sitting most of the day.
• The job involves frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• The job requires frequent bending, twisting, and occasional squatting, climbing, kneeling, and balancing.
• The job requires the completion of tasks that involve simple grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manual manipulation, and typing.
• The job requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, depth perception and color vision, hearing, and speaking.

Pay Grade: 4

Salary Disclosure: Pay rates are based on policy, education, skill, experience level and internal equity.
