$2692.80/week - Job Summary: The CT Scan Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography procedures in a fast-paced trauma and academic medical center. They ensure accurate imaging, patient safety, and a positive patient experience while supporting clinical evaluation and care. Responsibilities: Perform and customize CT scans according to physician orders and clinical protocols. Enforce radiation safety measures in compliance with New York State Department of Health regulations. Assist and support patients throughout imaging procedures, including trauma, emergency, outpatient, inpatient, and research cases. Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards. Collaborate with radiologists, medical staff, and team members to facilitate accurate diagnosis and patient care. Support ongoing learning and technological advancements within the radiologic department. Qualifications: Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and high school diploma. Hold New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in NY. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Possess current BLS for Healthcare Providers, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification. Have at least 2 years of experience performing CT scans or equivalent training. Demonstrate strong knowledge of radiation safety, imaging protocols, and patient care.
