Mechanical Technician

Manufacturing TechnicianThe Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for assembling mechanical subassemblies from sheet metal components and machined parts according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble electro-mechanical subassemblies using sheet metal components, machined parts, fasteners, and hardware.Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions.Operate basic hand tools, torque tools, and precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).Inspect incoming parts for defects or deviations from specifications before assembly.Follow established work instructions, manufacturing procedures, and safety guidelines.Maintain accurate production and quality records.Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve assembly issues.Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.Keep work area clean and organized in accordance with 5S and safety standards.QualificationsRequired:High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred).1+ years of mechanical assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment or Trade School experience.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructionsSkilled in the use of basic mechanical assembly tools and equipment.Strong attention to detail and quality focus.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Basic computer skills.Working ConditionsPrimarily shop floor/manufacturing environment.Exposure to noise, dust, and shop chemicals (with appropriate PPE provided).May require overtime or shift flexibility based on production needs.Salary commensurate with experience.We are an equal opportunity employer.
