This position requires advanced level knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform and cloud native services for building data engineering pipelines and data products in alignment with architecture and best practices. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and manage scalable and reliable data engineering solutions.Simmons Bank invites you to collaborate in an agile team of peers developing and supporting on-premises & cloud-based analytics platform integrating data from a broad number of systems to enable next-gen analytical products.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssist in building and maintaining ETL (extract, transform, load) pipelines.Write basic scripts to automate data collection and preprocessing tasks.Integrate data from various sources into data warehouses.Ensure data quality and consistency across different datasets.Perform data cleansing and validation tasks. Monitor data quality and report issues to senior team members. Work under the guidance of senior data engineers and data scientists. Assist in documenting processes and maintaining technical documentation.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.QualificationsProgramming Languages: Proficiency in languages like Microsoft Power Fx, PowerShell, DAX, SQLFamiliarity with SQL for database querying.Familiarity with O365 data products (e.g., SharePoint Online, OneDrive, PowerBI, Dataverse)Understanding of relational databases (e.g., Microsoft SQL Server)Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts.Familiarity with Microsoft Power Platform tools and services PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BIKnowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.Basic understanding of cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) & Familiarity with data services offered by these platforms.Understanding of building and maintaining data pipelines. - Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow or Luigi.Knowledge & experience of working in Agile Delivery modelEducation and/or ExperienceBachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field AND 1-4 years of practical hands-on experience with data engineering projectsCertificates, Licenses, RegistrationsCertifications in relevant technologies or tools (PL?900 (Fundamentals), PL?400/AB?400 (Developer Associate), AB?410 (Intelligent Applications Builder), PL?300 (Power BI Data Analyst )).Banking certification or experience a plusOther Qualifications (including physical requirements)Problem-Solving - Ability to identify and solve technical issues.Analytical thinking for data-related problems.Careful handling of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Effective collaboration with team members.Ability to work in a team environment.Willingness to learn from senior team members and contribute to team goals.Equal Employment Opportunity Information: Simmons First National Corporation and its subsidiaries are committed to a policy of equal employment with respect to a person's race, color, religion, sex, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, covered veterans, military status, physical or mental disability or any other legally protected classifications.
