We’re hiring a Physical Therapist for our Acute Care Rehab Department in Jacksonville, Florida. This is a Part-Time Days position located at Baptist South.

We are looking for a Physical Therapist to join our Rehab Team at Baptist South. This position requires a candidate with at least 1 year of recent experience working in an acute care setting, and experience in ortho and neuro care. This is a Part-Time opportunity working Day Shift, 24 hours per week (3 8-hour shifts). The expected shift schedule is expected to include regular Friday shift coverage and Saturday coverage every other week .

Alternating Day shift schedule

Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday

Week 2: Tuesday, Friday, Saturday

Physical Therapist, Acute Care, Job Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans, directs and administers physical therapy treatment to patients.
• Provides patient care to help improve or restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease or physical disability.
• Oversees support staff. Participates in departmental operations and in performance improvement activities.
• Responsible for remaining within budget guidelines.
• Participates in mandatory education and licensure requirements.

Experience Requirements

• 1 or more years of Physical Therapy Experience
• Experience with Surgical Patient Care
• Orthopedics
• Experience in Neuro
• Experience working in an Acute Care setting

Education & Credential Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Physical Therapy Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association Required
• Licensed Physical Therapist from FL Department of Health Required*
