Registered Nurse (RN) | Endoscopy

Job Summary Location: Avera on Louise Health Campus. Position: Regular nurse, primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on‑call involvement. Work Shift: Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on‑call involvement. The individual must be able to work the hours specified. Pay Range: $32.50 – $48.50 per hour, actual rate dependent on experience. Position highlights include potential sign‑on bonus up to $15,000. Responsibilities Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating the nursing care plan and pertinent information to other members of the health care team, coordinating with other healthcare providers, and conferring with physicians. Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting patient physical condition and psychological status, and conferring with family and friends. Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients, families and friends about their condition, medications and self‑care skills, answering questions, and providing resources. Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, reviewing records, noting changing conditions, and modifying nursing care plans accordingly. Maintain a safe, secure and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection‑control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, controlled substance regulations and other legal regulations. Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records. Keep patient care equipment operational by following operating instructions, troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance. Maintain patient care supplies by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing orders and verifying receipt. Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership. Essential Qualifications Ability to perform essential job functions, including visual acuity, communication skills, hearing and understanding speech, and other necessary abilities. Registered Nurse (RN) – Board of Nursing with an active state license (required upon hire). 1–3 years of experience working in a clinical environment (preferred).
