Minimum Qualifications The Department of Mathematics at the University of Georgia seeks to fill two Postdoctoral Teaching and Research Associate positions beginning in August 2026. Each position is funded by the NSF Geometry and Topology Research and Training Group (RTG) and is anticipated to be two years in duration, with summer support and possible renewal for a third year. The RTG focuses on algebraic geometry, geometric topology, and symplectic geometry. See for more information. Due to grant requirements, the position is open only to US citizens and permanent residents. Educational Qualifications: A Ph.D. or equivalent foreign degree in Mathematics or a related field is required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Applicants should show promise of conducting significant research related to RTG focus and potential for high-quality teaching in university mathematics classes. Physical Demands The postdoc will perform research in mathematics and teach classes, which may involve sitting or standing and communicating via speaking, writing, or with technology.
