You'll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.A Day in the LifeOur Cardiac Rhythm Management Operating Unit is looking for a Test Technician II to help support their Mechanical Test and Analysis Lab. This onsite role will contribute to the development, testing, and analysis of Leads, Catheters, Devices, and Instruments for cardiac pacing therapies and defibrillation solutions.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:Follow test method instructions in preparing test samples, conducting a test, and exporting results involving leads, catheters, and cardiac devicesSupport development of new test methods, measurement techniques, and fixturesOrganize, prepare, and present technical information in a clear, effective and skillful manner to peers, engineers and managementDirect the activities of junior technicians to ensure project milestones are completed correctly and on scheduleCoordinate and execute test equipment calibrations, repairs and troubleshootingManage basic lab functions including materials and equipment procurement, lab layout and facilities supplyBe responsive to changes in work direction and develop creative plans for meeting aggressive business milestonesNice to Haves:Vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experienceKnowledge of lead and catheter design, processing, and material property testing, including fatigueHands-on experience with TA Instruments and/or Instron electromechanical fatigue test framesFamiliarity with FDA and MDR regulationsKnowledge to maintain the PCs running test equipment. Installing various hardware into PC enclosures and installing drivers.
