What You’ll Do:

As a Day Support Professional Specialist, you’ll play a meaningful role in implementing behavioral health and educational services using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with individuals diagnosed with autism, related mental health disorders and/or intellectual disabilities in either a 1:1 or small group settings. They many also provide Adult Day Supports, Vocational Habilitation, and Non-Medical Transportation Services. This position receives supervision and training from behavior analytic and/or behavioral health supervisors through direct observation and team meetings.

Minimum Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent, plus 3 years or more years of experience in the behavioral health, human services, or mental health field required; College Degree in education, psychology, social work, or a related field preferred. 

- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.

- Proficient computer skills.

- Ability to obtain and maintain First Aid, CPR - adult, child and infant (training will be provided, if not already certified).

- One to two (1-2) years of experience working directly with children and families preferred.

- Experience working with people with autism spectrum disorders, behavioral health conditions, and developmental disabilities preferred.

- Must be able to function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with individuals, staff, and support agencies.

- Must be able to relate to and work with ill, disabled, emotionally upset, and at times hostile clients/family members.

- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

- Proof of automobile insurance
