Junior Internal Auditor Ignite Digital Services (San Diego, CA) is looking for a Junior Internal Auditor to support technical delivery on one of our federal government projects. Job Details Location: San Diego, CA (remote, with occasional on‑site collaboration) Position Type: Full Time Category: Government – Federal Salary: $75k+ (aligned with education and experience) Responsibilities Inspect account books and accounting systems for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures, focusing on final processes, internal controls, control testing, and policies. Conduct individual internal audit projects as part of a master internal audit plan. Examine financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations. Assess financial operations and provide best‑practice recommendations to management. Implement standardized business processes across organizational units. Develop and implement corrective actions to improve timeliness and quality of financial information. Provide oversight and leadership of tasks and deliverables, ensuring timely and successful completion in accordance with the project management plan. Minimum Qualifications BS or BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related risk‑management discipline. Working knowledge of data analytical tools and applications (MS Excel) for data analysis. Understanding of internal control concepts and experience applying them in various business processes. Current active Secret Security Clearance. Preferred Qualifications Professional designations: CPA, CIA, CISA, CISM, ISACE, CDFM, CGFM, or equivalent. Compliance and operational auditing experience.
