Aquatics Operations Director Mid-Atlantic Region | $90,000–$100,000 + Benefits Lead One of the Largest Learn-to-Swim Operations in the Mid-Atlantic We are seeking an entrepreneurial Aquatics Operations Director to lead one of the region's most successful learn-to-swim organizations. Serving more than 850 active students and generating over $2 million in annual revenue, this role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on business growth, customer experience, operational excellence, and team development. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering with corporate leadership, the Aquatics Operations Director will oversee all aspects of a high-volume swim school operation serving children and adults through group and private instruction. Key Performance Objectives Within the first 12 months, increase enrollment, retention, and customer lifetime value through improved sales processes, lead conversion systems, customer engagement initiatives, and operational improvements. Build and develop a high-performing aquatics team by recruiting, training, coaching, and retaining instructors, deck supervisors, and support staff while creating leadership depth that supports seven-day-per-week operations. Improve operational efficiency across scheduling, lane assignments, staffing allocation, class utilization, and program delivery to ensure a consistently outstanding experience for students and families while maintaining strong financial performance. Partner with senior leadership to evaluate pricing strategies, labor utilization, growth opportunities, and business development initiatives that support continued revenue expansion and long-term organizational success. You handle customer concerns with professionalism, empathy, and composure while strengthening relationships and improving overall customer satisfaction. Preferred Background Experience leading multi-faceted operations where customer experience, staffing, scheduling, and business performance are equally important. Demonstrated success managing teams, improving operational processes, and driving measurable business results. Experience in aquatics, youth programs, fitness, hospitality, recreation, education, franchise operations, service businesses, or other customer-focused environments is highly desirable. Required Certifications and Qualifications Qualified to become a Swim America Supervisor. Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire. Current CPR Certification or ability to obtain certification upon hire. Comfortable working in and around the water with children and adults. Available to work weekends, including Saturdays and Sundays. Able to spend extended periods on deck supporting operations and staff. Strong verbal and written English communication skills. Proficient with business software and operational systems. Available to respond to operational issues as needed.
