As the state-designated Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and the only pediatric hospital in Washington's South Sound, we provide a comprehensive network of care designed specifically for children and adolescents.Our vision is to be the safest, highest-quality place for children to receive care, where every child has a medical home and every family feels supported.Up to $20,000 sign on bonus and $10,000 relocation bonus for eligible new hires with 1+ years of experience!FTE: 1.0, Shift: Days, Schedule: 8-10 Hour Shifts + CallPosition SummaryThe Pediatric and Congenital Cardiovascular Technologist at Mary Bridge Children's will provide technical expertise and patient care support in the pediatric cardiac catheterization lab, assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional procedures for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital or acquired heart disease. The Cardiovascular Technologist will ensure quality care, with a focus on the comfort and well-being of the patient and family. Through providing support during diagnostic, therapeutic, and interventional procedures, you will be able to apply your independent decision-making skills every day. The tech serves in the scrub, circulator, and recording role. Procedures include but are not limited to angioplasty, balloon atrial sept ostomies, stenting, device placements (valves, asd, vsd, etc), thrombolysis, embolization, thoracic duct takedowns, biopsies, ablations, pacemaker and lead placements and laser extractions. They operate sophisticated cardiac medical imaging and diagnostic equipment (single and bi-plane, fluoroscopic angiographic equipment, Ultrasound, Intravascular Ultrasound IVUS, echo, Intracardiac Echo (ICE), Radi-wires, and/or operate 3D mapping systems) and assist with device management in order to obtain optimum study quality and support interventional team needs. The tech acquires/ measures/ calculates hemodynamic data, performs blood work analysis, prepare procedure rooms, preps patients for procedures, transports patients to and from the lab, cleans procedure rooms, and prepares instruments for re-sterilization. The tech directs and practices safety guidelines for themselves, staff, and patients and adheres to regulatory practices within the cardiac cath lab.Responsibilities:Prepare and maintain cath lab environment, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control standards.Perform direct patient care activities under the direction of the Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab/ EP Registered Nurse and/or the Cath Lab Operations Manager as necessary and appropriateAssist physicians in invasive cardiac procedures (diagnostic cath, angioplasty, device placement, electrophysiology studies).Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging and monitoring equipment (fluoroscopy, IVUS, ICE, 3D mapping).Acquire and interpret hemodynamic data; perform blood work analysis.Support patient care before, during, and after procedures, including transport and monitoring.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery.Requirements:Graduate of an accredited cardiovascular technology or radiology program.Current Washington State Radiologic Technologist certification or as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist or currently enrolled and in second year of an Invasive Cardiovascular Specialist programCurrent RCIS or ARRT certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months of employmentRegistered ARRT (VI) or Registered ARRT (CI) preferredCurrent AHA, BLS, and ACLS CPR certifications at the time of hire; PALS strongly preferred (or obtained within 6 months)At least one year of diagnostic radiology or interventional radiology experience requiredPediatric cath lab experience in a tertiary or quaternary care centerStrong knowledge of congenital heart disease and pediatric hemodynamicsFamiliarity with ECMO and hybrid OR proceduresAbout Mary Bridge Children'sFor more than 70 years, MultiCare Mary Bridge Children's Hospital & Health Network has cared for children and families across the South Sound. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $49.61 - $81.99 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant's years of experience align.
