Job Summary:

The BACKFILL - TRAVEL - RN - MED/TELE - A6W NEURO TELE (620) RN - Tele role provides skilled nursing care for patients on a Med/Tele unit with a focus on neuroscience patients. This position monitors telemetry, supports safe clinical workflows, and coordinates care to meet patient and unit needs.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment.
• Perform and document assessments, including neurological and general status checks.
• Manage IV therapy and initiate IV starts according to scope and protocol.
• Insert and maintain Foley catheters as indicated, following infection prevention standards.
• Coordinate care with the charge nurse and multidisciplinary team to support smooth unit flow.
• Maintain accurate charting in the EMR (Cerner) and ensure timely documentation.

Qualifications:

• Possess current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Hold current ACLS certification.
• Hold NIH certification.
• Demonstrate 2+ years of relevant nursing experience, including Med/Tele/telemetry care.
• Apply strong neuro-focused clinical skills and provide appropriate bedside care for neuroscience patients.
• Prefer prior neuroscience experience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced unit.
