Before that, Clay led the product and design teams for Google Workspace.What you’ll doManage end-to-end accounting closeSupport the Accounting Lead with month close procedures globallyPrepare supporting documentation and reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaids, fixed assets, other assets, payroll, and accrualsHelp to implement close management softwarePerform initial review for accuracy and completeness of expenses including developing a robust accrual processLiaise with FP&A in the preparation of the monthly reporting package including period-over-period analysisPerform daily ad hoc accounting tasksAssist with review of vendor bills, corporate credit cards, and employee reimbursementsManage cash application daily and monitor global balancesImprove collections by building robust automated processesCoordinate with payroll to review payroll journal entries and ensure all required payroll taxes are paidPrepare for audit readinessCoordinate with external auditors for timely submission of all required requests (Global Audit and Local Statutory Audits)Drive Finance Transformation initiatives to leverage AI and tooling at scaleEnhance or upgrade our tech stack to enable the latest in AI technologyChallenge our processes and develop an AI-first approachWhat you’ll bring4-8 years of accounting experience with a mix of public (highly regulated) and private (hyper-growth) companiesProficient in US GAAPAbility to identify areas for improvement and build solutions using AIDesire to drive operational efficiency to scale the accounting functionA structured, self-directed, detail-oriented builder and problem solver who can design a process where none exists, run it, and improve it over time without being managed toward it.
