Salary Range $16.90 - $16.90 Hourly

Description

Essential functions and responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Cheerfully wait on guests, make recommendations and up sell.
• Create and serve beverages.
• Process all cash and charge transactions according to house procedures.
• Stock side station with garnishments, bar mats, mixers, ice and jiggers.
• Assist Food and Beverage Manager with stocking beverages and mixes.
• Stock beverages and mixes for next shift.
• Close checks and run reports at the end of shift.
• Maintain clean bar tables, chairs, stools and counter surface at all times.
• Adhere to food safety requirements.
• Report any missing/found articles or equipment/property damage to the supervisor.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
• Deliver DKN's "Home Away From Home" experience

Supervisory Responsibility :

None

Independent Judgment Used :

Often within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within DKN Hotels' policies and procedures.

Working Conditions/Environment :

Restaurant Bar. Access to kitchen including commercial dishwashing equipment and cleaning agents. Access to entire exterior and interior of property.

Qualifications

Knowledge/Education/Experience :

Previous experience desirable. Previous one (1) year experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements :

English speaking or bilingual. Operate cash register. Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations. Ability to prioritize, organize and make good judgments. Dependable.

Physical Requirements :

Standing and walking for long periods of time. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying unassisted up to 30 lbs. of bulk goods. Exposure to cleaning agents.
