You’ll be one of the first faces our patients see, so we’re looking for someone who can create a welcoming experience while keeping up with the pace of a busy, private orthopedic practice.

You’re someone who can juggle a lot; patient-facing encounters, schedules, insurance details, patient questions, and changing priorities without losing your smile. You communicate well, work collaboratively, take initiative, and understand that even the smallest interaction can make a difference in a patient’s experience.

Job Description

Position: FRONT OFFICE PSR

Job Type: Full-time , 40 hours per week  

Schedule: Monday – Friday  

Pay Range: $18.75 - $20 / hr

Responsibilities include:

• Welcome and greet patients with excellent customer service.
• Check patients in and out of their appointments.
• Register patients into the computer EMR system.
• Collect co-pays and other payments.
• Verify insurance, demographic, and referral information.
• Maintain and update current information on physician’s schedules ensuring that patients are scheduled properly, and appointments are confirmed.
• Review and monitor clinic/provider schedules often to verify accuracy.
• Schedule patient appointments for a very busy 23-provider practice.
• Assist with and/or relay patient requests/questions to MA or other clinical staff.
• Perform various admin duties such as processing medical records, sorting faxes, referrals, scheduling depositions, and managing messages from patients.
• Other projects/duties as directed
• Serve as an advocate for FBJ's service promise to provide an exceptional patient experience.

Position Requirements:

• Must be a resident of Flagstaff
• Must work on-site 40 hrs per week 
• Exceptional  customer service skills
• Medical office and billing/insurance verification experience preferable
• Must believe in a patient-centered approach
• Outstanding teamwork attitude
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Work at an efficient and fast pace
• Must be self-motivated
