It is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional who wants to build a strong foundation in corporate finance, FP&A, reporting, controls, and strategic business partnership.What You'll DoAs a Financial Analyst, you will play a key role in helping the business understand financial performance, improve reporting processes, and support better decision-making across the organization.Your responsibilities will include:Directing the financial tracking, process validation, and documentation for technology development capitalization, including Tech Capex, while monitoring capitalizable metrics and analyzing downstream impacts on operating expenses, or OPEXActing as the primary internal contact to handle, prioritize, and process detailed financial reporting sheets, operational performance metrics, and ad-hoc analysis inquiries coming from Japan Headquarters, also referred to as JHQ / Misumi HeadquartersBuilding and maintaining financial models, projections, and forecasts that support strategic decision-makingLeading monthly and quarterly financial analysis, including variance analysis against budget and forecastSupporting the month-end close process, including reconciliations and review of financial resultsPartnering with functional teams, including Sales, Operations, and Marketing, to provide financial guidance and identify opportunities for cost savings, revenue growth, and margin improvementAnalyzing key business drivers and translating them into clear, actionable insights for leadershipMaintaining accurate, organized financial records and contributing to continuous improvement of reporting processesDesigning and leading internal compliance protocols, financial control frameworks, and audit readiness activities across the Finance function to maintain rigid alignment with public company governance guidelinesConducting ad-hoc research and special projects as neededMaintaining and contributing to the Quality Management System, or QMS, as expected of all employeesWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone analytical, organized, highly accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and communication matter.Desired Traits, Skills, and ExperienceStrong candidates will bring:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field1–3 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or a similar analytical roleStrong understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAdvanced Excel skills, including financial modeling, complex formulas, and pivot tablesStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sharp attention to detailClear communication skills, with the ability to translate financial concepts for non-financial audiencesHigh organizational skills and comfort juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentA hands-on attitude and willingness to jump in wherever the team needs helpRequired and Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Competencies, Education, and CertificationsRequired:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or related field1–3 years of relevant FP&A, corporate finance, accounting, or analytical experienceStrong knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisAdvanced Excel capability, including financial modeling, complex formulas, and pivot tablesStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsAbility to communicate financial information clearly to both finance and non-finance audiencesAbility to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailPreferred:Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations, budget-to-actual analysis, and forecasting processesExperience partnering with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Operations, and MarketingExposure to compliance protocols, internal controls, audit readiness, or public company governance requirementsExperience working with international headquarters, parent companies, or global reporting structuresFamiliarity with technology capitalization, Tech Capex tracking, OPEX analysis, or capitalizable development metricsDemonstrated interest in continuous improvement, reporting accuracy, and scalable financial processesPhysical DemandsThis role is expected to be performed in a professional office or remote work environment.
