Overview The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. This range is provided by Sam's Club. As a part of our produce team, you’ll make important decisions about the quality of the produce that members and their families eat by ensuring availability, cleanliness and freshness. You will be in the front-lines of customer service – your smile makes a difference and you can help enhance the member’s shopping experience. Responsibilities Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for customer service; work flexibly to other areas, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner. Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce; prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation guidelines; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; utilize digital tools; manage stock using perpetual inventory techniques; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; guide peers and respond to customer needs; assist customers per company policies. Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high-quality service and products; execute basics at the highest level of quality; show energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Complies with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards; apply Open Door Policy in business processes. Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and improvements opportunities.
