IT Voice EngineerJT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract, better known as J-Tech II. JT4 develops and maintains realistic, integrated test and training environments and prepares our nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.The IT Voice Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise voice communication systems and associated infrastructure. This position supports Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), Unified Communications (UC), telecommunications services, and related network technologies to ensure reliable, secure, and highly available voice communications across the organization.The IT Voice Engineer works closely with network engineering, cybersecurity, systems administration, and external telecommunications providers to maintain operational capabilities, resolve service disruptions, and implement technology improvements.Employee will be responsible for performing the following functions:Conduct research and reference reading to assist higher-level engineers in obtaining technical informationKeep informed of and study currently approved standards, codes, and procedures applied to engineering specialtyPerform engineering or other highly technical tasks that are varied and may be somewhat difficult in characterPlan and carry out successive engineering steps and resolve technical problems by standard practices and techniques, such as tolerance studies and design calculationsSupport projects with limited scope or parts of more complex projects with detailed instructions on the intent and scope of the documents to be preparedGenerate sections of design specifications of more complex projects or complete specifications of less complex projectsUsing computer-assisted test methods, conduct laboratory investigations on equipment or systemsAssist in preparation of reports, correspondence, or technical studiesPrepare, deliver, and submit technical presentations for in-process design and review meetingsPerform other job-related duties, as requiredDesired Qualifications:Cisco CCNA, CCNP Collaboration, or equivalent industry certification.Cisco and/or Avaya VoIP backgroundExperience with Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Unity Connection, CUBE, or comparable enterprise voice technologies.Familiarity with PowerShell or other scripting tools for automation and administration.Experience supporting multi-site enterprise telecommunications environments.Knowledge of hybrid cloud and on-premises unified communications architectures.Experience with redundant communication systems and business continuity planning.Experience working within regulated, government, or security-sensitive IT environments.Requirements -- Education, Technical, and Work Experience:An associate's degree in engineering or other technical discipline, or formal academic/vocational/military training and a minimum of 7 years of technical/professional experience in the specialty field are required for this position.In addition, a Field Engineer II must possess the following qualifications:Professional knowledge of applicable engineering concepts and principles and familiarity with related engineering fieldsPractical knowledge of test methods and practices sufficient to perform routine to more complex engineering procedures and to prepare or make minor modifications of standard test procedures or test equipment work instructionsEffective verbal and written communication skillsPlanning/organizational skillsSalary:The expected salary range for this position is $83,200.00 to $124,800.00 annually.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision InsuranceLife InsuranceHealth Savings Accounts/FSA'sDisability InsurancePaid Time Off401(k) Plan Options with Employer MatchTuition ReimbursementResponsibilities:Each employee must read, understand, and implement the general and specific operational, safety, quality, and environmental requirements of all plans, procedures, and policies pertaining to their job.Working Conditions:Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards.
