ASRT Lead Radiologic Technologist - Weekend Shift

Job Summary: This part-time role involves working two 12-hour weekend shifts from 7:30am to 8pm, totaling 48 hours biweekly, with eligibility for full-time benefits. The Lead Radiologic Technologist coordinates daily operations during the shift, ensuring consistency and smooth workflow within the department. This position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, effective communication, teamwork, multitasking, delegation, prioritization, and critical thinking to meet departmental needs. Essential Responsibilities: Receive shift reports from Radiology management and maintain overall knowledge of staffing and scheduling to promote team efforts and reassignments as needed. Assign and monitor meal and break times, ensuring adequate staffing levels and care provision throughout the weekend shifts. Operate and troubleshoot PACS, Powerscribe, and other imaging systems; coordinate repairs and escalate issues to appropriate technical teams. Assist Radiologists with staffing, system, and equipment concerns. Oversee department operations during disaster events until relieved by higher management. Perform X-Ray, Interventional Radiology (IR), and MRI exams during shifts as a working technologist. Manage daily, weekly, and monthly duties such as code cart checks and serve as the primary contact for staffing and patient status during shifts. Participate in quality and safety improvement initiatives, including audits and routine team huddles to optimize operations and communication. Coach and provide real-time feedback to department associates using a just culture approach. Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited School of Radiology is required; a Bachelor of Science degree is preferred. 1-2 years of leadership experience is mandatory. Licensure and Certifications: Current licensure by the Indiana State ARRT Certification. CPR Certification. This position is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
