Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in Mechanical, Controls, Mechatronics Engineering, or related fields. Experience with high-volume, high-precision consumer electronics. Experience in Return on Investment (ROI) methodology and managing headcount/capital expenditure rollups. Experience in comprehensive automation vendor management from initial request for proposal (RFP) and functional specification through design reviews, acceptance testing (FAT/SAT), and factory deployment. Familiarity with NX or other CAD tools, DOE, Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GRR), tolerance analysis, and statistical analysis. Responsibilities Influence product definition and architecture selection, in close collaboration with product design teams, via early design for automation engagement. Generate detailed functional requirements specifications for automated adhesive dispensing, goal guided pick and place, sealing, screw driving, cleaning, conveyance, and other precision electronic assembly operations. Partner with manufacturing and automation equipment providers to design, develop, and qualify, cost-effective, high-volume automated solutions. Develop automation implementation schedules and provide technical oversight during factory and site acceptance testing activities. Manage cross‑functional programs with global teams and contract manufacturing partners to ensure factory readiness and successful product delivery.
