Youth Minister

1) Preaching and Teaching Preach in the Highland Park and Long Grove youth programs at least once a month Coordinate with the Full Time Youth Minister in organizing and teaching the Sunday School curriculum at both the Highland Park and Long Grove locations 2) Discipleship and Leadership Development Build relationships with youths through visitation/meetup and counseling Shepherd youth spiritual growth with the support of other Youth Ministry Team members and congregational Pastors and Elders. Disciple selected youths to build a core youth student leadership team 3)Ministry and Organization Formulate youth ministry mission and strategy under the overall TGC church vision Help coordinate newcomer follow-up and outreach activities Encourage parental involvement with the discipleship of youth Plan and co-lead Friday night gatherings with the Full-Time Youth Minister 4) Other duties as assigned Ministry Load: 30 hours per week (potential to convert to full-time) Accountability: The position is under the supervision of the lead pastor and reports to the TGC Board of Elders.
