Job Summary

Are you a people person, problem solver, and community connector who loves helping others succeed?

In this role, youll build relationships with local businesses, connect individuals with meaningful employment opportunities, and provide the support they need to get the job, learn the job, and thrive on the job!

Youll serve as a coach, advocate, resource, and cheerleaderhelping individuals build independence, strengthen workplace skills, and reach their full potential.

What Youll Do

Connect People With Opportunities

Get to know each individualtheir strengths, abilities, interests, and goalsand help create a plan that supports successful employment and community involvement.

Find the Right Fit

Match individual skills and abilities with career opportunities in the community. Build relationships with employers and help them discover how the right employee can make a difference on their team.

Set Employees Up for Success

Work alongside employers to identify training needs and help individuals develop the knowledge and skills needed to succeed. This may include recommending adaptive equipment, mentoring, additional instruction, or other workplace supports.

Build a Strong Support System

Help develop natural supports both on and off the job. From transportation and workplace connections to community resources, youll help create a network that encourages independence and long-term success.

Keep the Details on Track

Complete accurate and timely documentation needed for services and billing. This may include job success plans, situational assessments, benefits analyses, disciplinary analyses, and other required documentation.

Know the Rules & Resources

Understand and follow DRS, DDS and Home of Hope requirements, contracts, and performance expectations while staying current on regulatory changes and best practices.

Celebrate Growth & Independence

Above all, help each individual work toward their maximum potential, independence, and self-determination.

Requirements:

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

1. Education: Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalency

2. Experience: 6 months in service oriented environment ideally in a job development capacity

3. Skills: above average interpersonal, verbal and written communications; basic math; proficiency in using office equipment that includes copier, fax, calculator, and telephone system.

4. Ability: to organize tasks, record and produce accurate work; to exercise sound judgment; periodic travel to various intrastate sites (which may involve over night stay).

5. Valid drivers license; current automotive insurance; dependable transportation; availability to operate vehicle during day/night

6. First Aid/CPR Training (Required). This will include all aspects of completion with compressions on the floor or ground.

7. Required pre-employment drug screen and subject to random, post-accident and reasonable cause drug screens.

8. Willing to work schedules based on individual client needs and overtime as required.

9. Expected to learn and follow the Individual Plan (IP) of clients.

10. Criminal Background free of encumbrances identified by the State of Oklahoma Health Department.

11. Valid drivers license; current automotive insurance; dependable transportation.

PHYSICAL/MENTAL:

  1. Office or industrial environment; lifting minimum of 50 pounds;
  2. Comprehension and deductive reasoning;
  3. Responsive to visual stimuli;
  4. Reliable motor skills-use of hands and feet; motor coordination;
  5. Ability to sit, stoop, or stand for prolonged periods of time;
  6. Ability to understand oral and written instructions.

7. Must have good written and oral communication skills.

  1. Must be mentally and physically capable to perform the duties of the position.
