Warehouse Forklift Operator 1st Shift

Position Description Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Thomasville, GA. Compensation Hourly Pay: $16.84 per hour Schedule: First Shift 7:00am-3:30pm Product Handling & Equipment Inbound products such as bolts, cables, reels, wires, anchors, etc. Equipment: Sit‑Down Forklifts & Pallet Jacks Benefits Paid training and support Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) (start at 30 days) Paid time off 401(k) company match 15% employee stock discount Employee discounts on tools, cars, hotels, electronics, cell phones, travel, etc. Safety gear provided Caring leadership prioritizing safety Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Clean driving record and personal vehicle; travel within area 25‑50% of the day Strong technical aptitude with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and WMS Valid forklift operator’s license (certified) Experience: 1+ year related warehouse or powered industrial truck experience preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted (or up to 35 lbs for lighter tasks) Ability to work indoors and outdoors; stand for long periods; flexible schedule Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Professional relationships with peers, supervisors, and customers at all levels High degree of initiative, accuracy under pressure, thoroughness, punctuality, and reliable attendance Important Note Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor‑vehicle records check; a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned. Responsibilities Perform warehouse functions: loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, cycle counting Perform duties within contract performance‑measurement guidelines Accurately pick, pack, audit, move tote induction, and stage products; load and unload trucks Manage day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.) Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production Perform other duties as assigned Equal Opportunity Statement Ryder is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer and drug‑free workplace.
