Construction Manager - Bay Pines, FL

Job Overview We're looking for a full-time, on-site Construction Manager to support VA construction oversight at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System in Bay Pines, FL. The CM operates in alternating shifts to ensure one CM is present on site 100% of the time the General Contractor is working throughout the 600-calendar-day performance period. Responsibilities Perform daily field inspections of construction work in progress. Document contractor activities, defects, and omissions. Maintain and update as-built drawings. Manage the submittal register and track RFIs. Monitor construction schedules and long lead items. Verify ICRA compliance in active clinical areas. Support testing and commissioning activities. Coordinate with VA facility staff on access, safety, and infection control. Submit daily inspection reports to the COR every Friday. Escalate issues to the PM immediately and maintain thorough field records supporting all project oversight activities. Minimum Qualifications 4-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or Construction Management plus 3 years of relevant CM experience, OR 6 years of relevant CM experience without a degree. OSHA 30-hour certification required (within last 5 years). Advanced knowledge of construction practices, materials, and methods required. Experience with healthcare facility construction (VA preferred), active hospital infection control, project phasing, and commissioning support strongly preferred. Florida construction experience preferred. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a VA PIV card. #J-18808-Ljbffr
