Job Description:
As a Power BI Developer , you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise reporting and analytics solutions that enable business users to make informed decisions through actionable insights. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and business intelligence best practices to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models for business and operational reporting.

• Build reporting solutions using existing Dataverse data models, relationships, and security configurations.

• Develop data integrations and transformations using Power Query from sources such as SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, and Cosmos DB.

• Create and optimize DAX measures, calculated columns, and semantic model relationships for performance and accuracy.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate business needs into meaningful visualizations.

• Support reporting initiatives across multiple teams while prioritizing deliverables based on business needs.

• Implement and maintain row-level security, workspace governance, and dataset management standards.

• Troubleshoot report refresh issues, optimize performance, and resolve reporting defects.

• Document data models, business metrics, data sources, and reporting dependencies for knowledge retention and support.

• Provide report walkthroughs, user training, and knowledge transfer to business and technical teams.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Strong experience developing enterprise reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI.

• Expertise in Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, data visualization, and business intelligence best practices.

• Advanced proficiency with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.

• Experience working with Dataverse, SQL Server, Azure Blob Storage, Cosmos DB, and other enterprise data sources.

• Strong understanding of dataset management, workspace governance, and row-level security implementation.

• Experience designing scalable and high-performance reporting solutions with performance optimization expertise.

• Proven ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into actionable reports and dashboards.

• Experience troubleshooting data refresh issues, report defects, and data quality concerns.

• Strong documentation, communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.

• Experience working within Agile environments and supporting multiple concurrent reporting initiatives.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
