Job Summary:
The Chicago Illinois healthcare organization is seeking a Pediatric Respiratory Therapist Registered (RRT) for a local assignment. The position involves providing respiratory care in pediatric critical care settings, working nights, with a schedule of 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The role requires working every other weekend to support the needs of the facilitys pediatric units.

Job Details:

• Location: Chicago, Illinois
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, PALS, NRP (for NICU assignments), IL RRT license; at least 2 years of recent Pediatric Critical Care (PICU/NICU/CCU) RRT experience; current acute care Pediatric RRT experience within the last year; ability to work in at least two of the following areas: NICU, CCU, PICU, and acute care floors; IL RRT license must be active and submitted at the time of submission.
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience working with pediatric patients in critical care settings.
• Additional Information:
  • Orientations are scheduled every Monday.
  • During the IVS (Initial Verification Screening) process, candidates will complete a skills checklist to verify their competency in relevant areas.
  • Dress code: Scrubs of any color, kid-friendly options acceptable.
  • Ratio based on a points system.
  • EMR system in use: EPIC.
  • Travel is not required for this assignment; float rotation is not anticipated.
